Kirill Igorevich Marchenko (Russian: Кирилл Игоревич Марченко; born 21 July 2000) is a Russian professional ice hockey winger the Columbus Blue Jackets of the National Hockey League (NHL).[1][2] Marchenko was selected by the Blue Jackets with the 49th overall pick in the 2018 NHL entry draft.[3]

Playing career
editMarchenko made his debut in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) during the 2017–18 season, with HC Yugra.
After four seasons in the KHL with perennial contending club, SKA Saint Petersburg, Marchenko at the conclusion of the 2021–22 season, opted to pursue a North American career in agreeing to a two-year, entry-level contract with draft club, the Columbus Blue Jackets, on 2 May 2022.[4]
Marchenko made his NHL debut on 6 December, in Columbus's game against the Pittsburgh Penguins.[5] On 11 December, Marchenko scored his first NHL goal, against Los Angeles Kings goaltender Jonathan Quick in a 6–5 Blue Jackets win.[6] On 7 January 2023, he recorded his first NHL hat-trick in a Columbus win against the Carolina Hurricanes.[7]
On 19 December 2023, Marchenko recorded a natural hat trick against the Buffalo Sabres.[8]
On 28 July 2024, Marchenko signed a three-year, $11.55 million contract with Columbus.[9]
