Kobe Savage (born February 12, 2001) is an American football safety for the Oregon Ducks. He previously played for the Texas A&M–Commerce Lions, the Tyler Apaches and the Kansas State Wildcats.

Early life and high school

Savage attended Paris High School located in Paris, Texas. Coming out of high school, Savage decided to commit to play college football for the Texas A&M–Commerce Lions.[1]

College career

Savage spent his first season at Texas A&M-Commerce in 2019 where he used the season to redshirt.[2]

Tyler JC

Savage decided to transfer to play at Tyler Junior College.[3][4] During his two seasons at Tyler, Savage totaled 100 tackles, four pass deflections, and six interceptions.[5]

Kansas State

After two season at Tyler College, Savage decided to commit to play Division I football for the Kansas State Wildcats for the 2022 season.[6][7] In Savage's first season with the Wildcats he tallied 58 tackles, three interceptions, and a forced fumble, in ten starts before he tore his ACL causing him to miss the team's final four games.[8][9] For his performance in the 2022 season, Savage was named the Big-12 defensive newcomer of the year, while also being named second team all Big-12.[10] During the 2023 season, Savage notched 57 tackles with three being for a loss, and three interceptions, while once again being named second team all Big-12.[11] After the conclusion of the 2023 season, Savage decided to enter his name into the NCAA transfer portal.[12][13]
