The Korea Office of Civil Aviation (KOCA) (Korean: 대한민국 국토교통부 항공정책실) is the South Korean civil aviation authority.[1] It is subordinate to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT).[2] The head office is in the Sejong Government Complex in Sejong City.[3] As of 2013 the Deputy Minister of the Office of Civil Aviation is Dr. Choi Jeong-ho.[4]

On August 31, 1963 the Ministry of Construction and Transportation (MOCT) Aviation Bureau was formed. On August 12, 2002, the Aviation Bureau was abolished, replaced by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority.[5] A new office for aviation was established on May 6, 2009.[6]
In 2013, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT) was reorganized, and the Korea Office of Civil Aviation (KOCA) became its subordinate agency, overseeing civil aviation matters in South Korea.
