Kraig Dominick Bonanken (born 6 August 1998) is an American soccer player currently playing as a midfielder.[4][5] Although he plays primarily as a central midfielder, he can also play attacking midfielder or centre-back.

College career

Bonanken originally played for the academy of FC Golden State Force before graduating from Eleanor Roosevelt High School.[3] He played college football for two teams, first playing with the Mount San Antonio College Mounties in 2017, where he made 16 starts and 22 appearances overall.[2] From 2019 to 2022, he played for the Cal Poly Pomona Broncos,[3] where he was selected for the United Soccer Coaches All-Region Team in 2021.[6][7]

In 2022, Bonanken signed for National Independent Soccer Association club Los Angeles Force.[1]

Stallion Laguna

In February 2023, it was announced that Bonanken signed for Philippines Football League side Stallion Laguna, which was the club of his former teammate Gabriel Silva.[8] He made his debut for the club in a 1–1 draw with Dynamic Herb Cebu, scoring his first goal for the club in a 3–0 win over Mendiola 1991 a few weeks later.[9]

Personal life

Bonanken was born in California to Bolivian parents, making him eligible to represent Bolivia at the international level.[10] His favorite footballer is Xabi Alonso.[3]
