The first written mention of Lanštorf is from 1271. Until the beginning of the 16th century, it was part of the Podivín estate, then it was annexed to the Břeclav estate.[2]

In 1950, the name of the municipality was changed to Ladná.[3] Ladná was an independent municipality until 31 July 1976, when it became an administrative part of Břeclav. From 1 July 2006, it is a separate municipality.[2]
