Lastomír (Hungarian: Lasztomér) is a village and municipality in Michalovce District in the Kosice Region of eastern Slovakia.
History
editIn historical records the village was first mentioned in 1288. Before the establishment of independent Czechoslovakia in 1918, Lastomír was part of Zemplén County within the Kingdom of Hungary. From 1939 to 1944, it was part of the Slovak Republic. On 26 November 1944, the Red Army dislodged the Wehrmacht from Lastomír and it was once again part of Czechoslovakia.
Geography
editThe village lies at an altitude of 107 metres and covers an area of 13.37 km2 (5.16 sq mi) (2020-06-30/-07-01).[1]
