Lecanopteris carnosa is a species of tropical fern in the genus Lecanopteris (Family Polypodaceae) native to Borneo, Malaysia, the Philippines, Sumatra, and Sulawesi.[1][2] An epiphyte, its thick, fleshy rhizome forms hollow spaces up to six inches (15 cm) thick that act shelter for ants,[3] making this a myrmecophyte as well as a succulent[4] similar to others in this genus.[5]
