Lee Raymond James Dillon[1] (born 1983) is a British politician who has been the Member of Parliament for Newbury since 2024. A member of the Liberal Democrats, he gained the seat from Laura Farris, a member of the Conservative Party.[2] He previously served as Leader of West Berkshire council from 2023 to 2024.[3]

Before entering Parliament, Dillon was a social housing senior manager. [4]

Early political career

Dillon became a councillor on Thatcham town council in 2007, twice becoming the mayor.[5] He later became a councillor on West Berkshire council in 2015.[6]

Following the 2023 local elections, Dillon became leader of West Berkshire council.[7] He took sabbatical leave from the role in January 2024, before resigning from the role on 30 April 2024 to contest the Newbury constituency in the 2024 General Election.[8]

Lee Dillon grew up in Thatcham.

Dillon has a wife and children. His father was a trade union official.[4]
