Legendary Nights is an American boxing documentary television series produced by HBO Sports. Each half-hour episode chronicles a single high-profile fight televised by HBO between 1981 and 2002, examining its build-up and aftermath through archival footage and interviews, narrated by Liev Schreiber. The twelve original episodes aired weekly from March 5 to May 21, 2003.[1]
The series won the 2004 Sports Emmy Award for Outstanding Edited Sports Series/Anthology.[1] A thirteenth episode, The Tale of Gatti–Ward, was produced a decade later and premiered in October 2013; it did not follow the format of the original series.[1][2]
