Leon Burchill is an Australian actor. He played Charlie in Stone Bros.,[1] Frankie in Redfern Now and Benny in Wyrmwood.[2] On stage he played Jim Krakouer in Krakouer! which toured in 2011.[3][4][5]
Burchill studied at NIDA, graduating in 2005[6] after being accepted into the school in 2003 on his second attempt.[7] He was the only Aboriginal student there at the time.[8]
Outside of acting Burchill worked at Taronga Zoo and the Sydney Royal Botanic Gardens as an Aboriginal education officer, teaching visitors about bush tucker and medicine.[9][10]
