Distribution
editPlants are found growing in the Tarija Department and in the Charcoma Valley, east of Tupiza in Bolivia at elevations of 2600 to 3000 meters. Plants growing in the habitat include Oreocereus celsianus.[2]
Taxonomy
editThis species is named in honor of german botanist Erich Werdermann.
