The following is a list of California Golden Bears men's basketball head coaches. There have been 19 head coaches of the Golden Bears in their 114-season history.[1]

California's current head coach is Mark Madsen. He was hired as the Golden Bears' head coach in March 2023,[2][3] replacing Mark Fox, who was fired after the 2022–23 season.[4]

  1. ^ California did not field a basketball team for the 1909–10 and 1910–11 seasons.
  2. ^ Campanelli was fired on February 8, 1993. Todd Bozeman was named interim head coach for the remainder of the season.[5]
  3. ^ Bozeman was named permanent head coach in March of 1993, five weeks after being named interim coach.[6]
  4. ^ California forfeited all games from the 1994–95 season, and 25 games from the 1995–96 season. Bozeman's on-court record is 63–35 (.643).
