This is a list of African primates, containing all recent species of primates found in Africa including Madagascar. According to the IUCN/SSC Primate Specialist Group there are currently 216 species (111 in the mainland while the 105 are found in Madagascar).[1] In addition the list also includes the recently extinct giant lemurs and humans (Homo sapiens) on the list.
