She had her secondary education at Ghana Senior High School, Koforidua. In 2001 she had her first degree in nursing and psychology, In 2006 she graduated with an MPhil in Nursing from the University of Ghana, she has a specialty certificate in Oncology Nursing from the Cross Cancer Institute in Edmonton, Canada and completed in 2006 and graduated with a PhD in Nursing from the University of the Western Cape, South Africa in 2013.[2]

She holds a position at Sigma Theta Tau, she has served on a number of boards and committees and has been a nurse for over 20 years.[1]
