Margan-e Esmail Kandi (Persian: مرگن اسماعيل كندي)[a] was a village in Qarah Quyun-e Jonubi Rural District of the former Showt District of Maku County, West Azerbaijan province, Iran.

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 416 in 92 households.[2]

After the census, the villages of Margan-e Azizabad, Margan-e Esmail Kandi, Margan-e Qadim, and Margan-e Vasat merged to form the new city of Marganlar, capital of Qarah Quyun District in the newly established Showt County.[4]
