Martín Wilhelm Krug (born 9 July 2006) is a Panamanian professional footballer who plays as centre-back for the youth academy of Levante. Born in the United States, he plays for the Panama national team.

Playing career
editKrug began playing football in his local Chicago with the iProSkills Academy at the age of 5.[2] In 2022, he moved to Spain to join the youth academy of Levante.[1]
International career
editKrug represented the Panama U17s at the 2023 CONCACAF U-17 Championship in February 2023.[3] That same year in November he made the final squad for the Panama U17s at the 2023 FIFA U-17 World Cup.[4]
Krug made his debut with the senior Panama national team as a substitute in a friendly 1–0 loss to Paraguay on 16 June 2024.[5] He was part of the provisional squad for the 2024 Copa América.[1]
Personal life
editKrug was born in Chicago, Illinois to a German father and Panamanian mother. His twin brother, Frederick, is also a youth international for Panama.[6]
Playing style
editKrug is a versatile centre-back, who is calm and precise and can dictate tempo from the back. He is prepared for anything on the pitch, and is good at anticipating plays. He is also able to play as a defensive midfielder.[1]
