Mavazekhan-e Sharqi Rural District (Persian: دهستان مواضع خان شرقي)[3] is in Khvajeh District of Heris County, East Azerbaijan province, Iran.[4] It is administered from the city of Khajeh.[5]

Demographics
editPopulation
editAt the time of the 2006 National Census, the rural district's population was 4,274 in 994 households.[6] There were 3,496 inhabitants in 981 households at the following census of 2011.[7] The 2016 census measured the population of the rural district as 3,755 in 1,115 households. The most populous of its 15 villages was Nahand, with 1,061 people.[2]
