Please import my changes from MediaWiki talk:Abusefilter-disallowed-emoji/sandbox
- A few reasons:
- The filter should be friendly, as adding emojis to articles isn’t necessarily vandalism, such as adding new emojis to Unicode charts.
- Because the filter is friendly, “never appropriate” is also being removed. 54nd60x (talk) 13:26, 6 February 2021 (UTC)
- Not done this is almost always vandalism, see the filter log. Your example of updating a Unicode chart is an extreme edge case which we would want to have a FP reported for so it can be exempted. — xaosflux Talk 23:47, 6 February 2021 (UTC)
