Verbiage
edit@Home Lander: Got any suggested verbiage for what to put here? The behavior would be to stop the edit, and show this warning, editors may just press save again to leave the edit as-is. — xaosflux Talk 02:45, 21 August 2018 (UTC)
- @Xaosflux: I actually have my user page scripted to show this when transcluded so I suppose it could somewhat be based off of that. A note to use "[[]]" instead of "{{}}" or put a "|" instead of a ":". Home Lander (talk) 02:52, 21 August 2018 (UTC)
- @Home Lander: Please populate the template below with what you think would be useful. You can use wiki markup on the "text" line, don't change the other lines. — xaosflux Talk 02:58, 21 August 2018 (UTC)
- @Xaosflux: Done. When spelling out code, I nowikied and italicized it; I don't believe that's ideal but I can't remember the other templates for code talk. Home Lander (talk) 03:11, 21 August 2018 (UTC)

Sample
editWarning: You have attempted to transclude a userpage or user talk page into this page. If you're attempting to mention a user, please use [[User:Example]] or {{User|Example}} rather than {{User:Example}}, which will cause the page to transclude. If you have done this on purpose, for example to demonstrate a userspace template, just click publish again to proceed. |
