Making it more userfriendly

edit

Hey, I've just been browsing through some categories and seen that this is using the default value. Over at Commons, it's possible to differentiate between categories, images and content pages. I find this kinda useful: For example, you can easier catch categories that should only contain a specific type of pages (likewise categories that should only contain other subcategories). As an example, see commons:Category:Commons where this is used. With the code ({{#ifeq:$4|0|empty|{{#ifeq:$1|0||$1 C{{#ifeq:{{#expr:$3+$2}}|0||,}}}} {{#ifeq:$2|0||$2 P{{#ifeq:$3|0||,}}}} {{#ifeq:$3|0||$3 F}}}}) this works in the order Categories, pages and files. As I explained, this might also be useful for Wikipedia here, so what do you think? Is there anything that speaks against implementing this, otherwise I'd like to {{editprotected}} this. Thank you. --The Evil IP address (talk) 17:43, 6 September 2009 (UTC) {{editprotected}} After one week without any objections at all, I'm now proposing the following edit: ({{#ifeq:$4|0|empty|{{#ifeq:$1|0||$1 C{{#ifeq:{{#expr:$3+$2}}|0||,}}}} {{#ifeq:$2|0||$2 P{{#ifeq:$3|0||,}}}} {{#ifeq:$3|0||$3 F}}}}). If I need to wait longer to see if there are objections, or if I need to discuss somewhere first, please let me know, as I'm not too familiar with the processes here. Thank you. --The Evil IP address (talk) 00:34, 13 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Not done for now. Seems like a reasonable request, but since I doubt many people saw this, I think it requires a discussion at the Village Pump or similar. –Juliancolton | Talk 01:28, 13 September 2009 (UTC)Reply
