Megalo Eleftherochori (Greek: Μεγάλο Ελευθεροχώρι, pronounced [meˈɣalo elefθeroˈxori]) is a village and a community of the Elassona municipality.[2] Before the 2011 local government reform it was a part of the municipality of Potamia, of which it was a municipal district.[2] The community of Megalo Eleftherochori covers an area of 40.779 km2.[3] Within the bounds of the community is the site of the ancient town of Ericinium.[4][5]
