Mehranrud Rural District

Mehranrud Rural District (Persian: دهستان مهران‌رود) is in the Central District of Tabriz County, East Azerbaijan province, Iran.[2] Its capital is the village of Heravi,[3] whose population at the time of the 2016 National Census was 2,861 people in 890 households.[4]

History

Mehranrud Rural District was created in the Central District in August 2021.[2] Opposition to its inclusion in Basmenj District led to its retention within the Central District.[5]
