Origins

Founded in 1995, Metron Aviation provides services in Air Traffic Flow Management, working with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to develop a Collaborative Decision Making (CDM) platform for optimizing system-wide traffic flow.[2]

Airbus Acquisition

In July 2011, Airbus announced a definitive agreement to acquire Metron Aviation, Inc., a privately held company.[3] Following the acquisition, Metron Aviation was reorganized in 2012 to align with the launch of Airbus ProSky, the Air Traffic Management subsidiary of Airbus based in Toulouse, France.[4] As of today, Metron Aviation employs approximately 100 people, down from around 200 in 2011.
