Michael Polansky (born 1978 or 1979)[1] is an American entrepreneur. He is engaged to Lady Gaga and has co-written various songs with her.[2][3]

Early life and education
editPolansky was born in the U.S. state of Minnesota.[4] His father, Steven Polansky, is a writer[5] and his mother, Ellen Woods, is the president of the American Foundation for Pharmaceutical Education.[5]
He studied applied mathematics and computer science at Harvard University.[6][7] He enrolled in 2002 and graduated in 2006.[8][9]
Career
editPolansky is founder or co-founder of the companies Avos Capital Management, Hawktail, and Outer Biosciences. He is a board member of Parker Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy and Lady Gaga's cosmetics brand Haus Labs.[6][10] Polansky is the executive director of the Parker Foundation, which he co-founded with Sean Parker in 2015.[9][11] He has also been the chief operating officer of Airtime, which was founded by Parker and Shawn Fanning in 2011. Polansky has been involved in other projects by Parker.[12]
Polansky was a co-executive producer of Lady Gaga's 2024 soundtrack album Harlequin and co-wrote the songs "Get Happy", "Good Morning", "If My Friends Could See Me Now", and "Oh, When the Saints".[13] He also has writing and production credits on Lady Gaga's 2025 studio album Mayhem,[14] including "The Beast", "Blade of Grass", "Disease", "Don't Call Tonight", "How Bad Do U Want Me", "LoveDrug", and "Vanish into You".[15][16] He and Lady Gaga also co-wrote the original song "All I Need Is Time".[17]
Personal life
editPolansky has a daughter, according to Tatler.[18] As of 2025, Polansky is engaged to Lady Gaga.[19][20] The couple started dating in 2020.[21] He proposed to her using a blade of grass, which inspired Lady Gaga's song of the same name on Mayhem.[22][23]
