Module talk:Infobox television season name

Lua error

edit

@Gonnym: Lots of articles had errors due to the recent change. For example, Back to Reality (TV series) was showing "Lua error in Module:Infobox_television_season_name at line 95: bad argument #2 to 'format' (string expected, got nil)" in the infobox. Please check my edit to the module because I did not think about any side effects that change might have. Also, you might check if the change is needed in some other places. Thanks for letting me know! Both errors are caused by misuse of the infobox template or the episode_list parameters so checking for that slipped right past me. Your fix looks good but I'll have a deeper look later on. Gonnym (talk) 12:37, 13 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

Italic title error

edit

@Gonnym your recent edits seem to have broken the italic_title param, see Special:Permalink/1216869947 (which worked when the edit was made). ~ Eejit43 (talk) 17:17, 13 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, I'll look into this in future updates as that change was needed for the new disambiguation style. Gonnym (talk) 18:19, 26 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Gonnym Thank you. This is a pretty urgent issue as it removes the title from all pages with that parameter. ~ Eejit43 (talk) 20:56, 26 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
How many pages like this exist? There really shouldn't be any season names that use disambiguation. (and I really doubt that "re-version" needed a stand-alone article seeing as it's just a repeat of episodes, but that is different topic). Gonnym (talk) 07:50, 27 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
You seem to be right, the usages of the parameter in other locations seem to not be facing this issue... Sorry for the false urgency! ~ Eejit43 (talk) 15:25, 27 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Gonnym just a reminder, this is still an issue :) ~ Eejit43 (talk) 03:37, 15 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
Seems like this is caused by the check in getTitle at line 243. I don't know what that check is in place, but I don't see any reason why it should be. Removing that should fix the issue! ~ Eejit43 (talk) 03:43, 15 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for the remainder, I'll take a look into this. Gonnym (talk) 07:54, 15 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
Seems the issue was the horrible disambiguation used in the article title ("re-version"). I need to escape the "-" in it for the gsub to work. I fixed it in the /sandbox but I'll need to create testcases for this function to make sure everything else is still working. As a side note, I still don't understand how that article still exists. Thank you! And agreed, not sure how the article still exists. ~ Eejit43 (talk) 14:35, 15 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Gonnym sorry to keep pinging you but I just wanted to remind you that this is still an issue. Is there anything I can do to assist? Thanks again. ~ Eejit43 (talk) 18:41, 30 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
