Mohib Ullah Afridi (Urdu: محب اللہ آفریدی; born 23 May 2005) is a Pakistani professional footballer who plays as a defender for Pakistan Premier League club Karachi United, which he captains, and the Pakistan national team.

Early life
editMohib's family originate from Dara Adamkhel, in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, where his father worked as a labourer.[1] When his family moved to Karachi, he started playing football at a local club called Khyber Muslim in 2011.[1] He later started training at Karachi United Football Academy while completing his matriculation education from Baldia Town.[1]
Club career

editMohib began his youth career with Karachi United in 2019.[2] He made 12 appearances with the senior team and scored one goal in the 2021–22 season of the Pakistan Premier League, until the league was cancelled shortly after starting.[2]
International career
editIn October 2018, Mohib was called up to the Pakistan under-15 team for the 2018 SAFF U-15 Championship held in Nepal.[3] He scored three goals in the tournament, including two against Nepal,[4][5] finishing runners-up in the final against Bangladesh, where he scored the equalizer in the 1–1 draw before his team lost in the penalty shootout.[6] He also participated in the 2020 AFC U-16 Championship qualification in 2019 as captain.[1][7][8]
In September 2023, Mohib was called up for the 2024 AFC U-23 Asian Cup qualification where he made three appearances, as Pakistan exited the group, losing three games in the group.[9]
Mohib made his debut with Pakistan's senior squad in the second round of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification in a 6–1 home defeat against Tajikistan.[10][11]
