Description
editThe wingspan is 10–12 mm.[2] Adults are on wing from the end of June to mid-September in one generation per year.
The larvae feed on great willowherb (Epilobium hirsutum) and broad-leaved willowherb (Epilobium montanum), mining the leaves of their host plant.[3] The species overwinters in the larval stage.[4]
Distribution
editIt is found in most of Europe, except the Mediterranean islands and most of the Balkan Peninsula.
