Murray Independent School District is a school district in the U.S. city of Murray, Kentucky. The word "independent" denotes that it is separate from any district operated by a county—in this case, Calloway County, of which Murray is the largest city and county seat. It enrolls students from kindergarten through the twelfth grade. In 2020 MISD's school board approved a new budget of $26 million for the 2020–2021 school year.[1]
