Journalism
editBeasnael has commented on various global issues, including politics and climate change. She participated in COP28 held in the UAE in December 2023 as a speaker and spoke about health issues as well as about the effects of climate change in Africa.[1][5] In an opinion piece written for The Star, Beasnael criticized the allegedly biased reporting against COP28 by the BBC.[6] She also criticized the Pope's comments about COP28, calling them "tone-deaf to the real challenges facing developing countries".[7] In an April 2024 article, she criticised the Biden administration's focus on fossil fuels, writing that "the United States has reached record-breaking oil production levels, with fossil fuel jobs growing at a faster rate than those in renewable sectors".[8]
In April 2024, Beasnael wrote about how Israel-Palestine conflict was changing the domestic Christian vote in the US.[9] In an article for NJ.com she called for a US policy shift to end the Israel-Gaza crisis.[10]
In November 2023, Beasnael called on European nations to support a continued democratic setup in Democratic Republic of the Congo.[11] She also voiced concern for the fate of the country's Christian community in the wake of the December 2023 general election.[12]
