It provides free CPR training to various individuals and groups to prepare first responders for emergencies. [1][2] [3] The center conudcts health camps that offer free check-ups and health screenings for heart disease, benefiting underserved communities. [4] The free telemedicine service of center provides support to Nepali migrant woorkers with heart health issues, offering both medical assistance and counseling. [5][6]It has recently launched a program to screen low-income families for undiagnosed heart disease. [7] [8]

As part of a tobacco control initiative, the Center offered medical support and free health screenings to more than 1,700 individuals who quit smoking through the Smokers Are Not Selfish campaign.[9] Beyond its treaetment services, the National Cardiac Center raises awareness about heart diseasea through participation in various events.[10]

According to WHO data,[11] over 86% of premature deaths from non-communicable diseases occur in lower and middle-income countries, including Nepal. Experts believe that preventive initiatives, combined with increased awareness, may be essential in addressing the disease burden in this region.[12]
