Neoh joined UKM Medical Molecular Biology Institute in 2010 having completed her PhD at the Juntendo University in Japan. [citation needed]

Career

Neoh is a microbiologist and researcher with a focus on antimicrobial resistance and the virulence of nosocomial pathogens, particularly Staphylococcus aureus. Her research also includes the diagnosis and pathogenesis of sepsis, the role of gut microbiota in colorectal cancer, and the seroepidemiology of dengue and chikungunya, primarily within the Malaysian population.

On 15th February 2017, Neoh was appointed as the Deputy Director for Research, Innovation, and Networking at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, a position she held until 14th February 2020. During her tenure, she led several key initiatives to enhance research collaborations and innovation strategies, significantly boosting the university's research output and partnerships with international institutions.
