New Chitose Airport Station

New Chitose Airport Station (新千歳空港駅, Shin-Chitose Kūkō Eki) is a railway station of Hokkaido Railway Company (JR Hokkaido).[1] It is located beneath the Domestic Terminal building of New Chitose Airport in Chitose, Hokkaido, Japan.[2] The New Chitose Airport Station is the north most and east most railway stations in Japan which are connected to an airport. It is also the east most underground railway station in Japan.

History

1992 - July 1st: New Chitose Airport Station opened along with the New Chitose Airport Terminal. The original Chitose Airport Station renamed as Minami-Chitose Station.

1998 - Automatic ticket gate installed.
