Upon release, Smith said: "It's inspired by stories from friends in my life. A reminder that the right person can change everything, often when you least expect it."[2]

Reception

In a review of the EP, Clash wrote that the song is "jaunty, snappy and irresistibly catchy, while also carrying lyrical depth."[3]

Stay Free Radio said: "This track comfortably sits within the realm of feel-good acoustic pop, reminiscent of Coldplay and other artists in that vein. While it might not break new ground, it delivers a pleasant and enjoyable listening experience."[4]
