In 1962, the song was covered by British singer Carol Deene (who had also had a hit with a cover of Thompson's Sad Movies (Make Me Cry) the previous year)[ 13] and was released as a single that January. Deene's version peaked at Number 24 on the UK singles chart around the same time and would be Deene's second of the four hits in her musical career.[ 14] [ 15]
