Poonam Chan Solanki is a legal advocate from Jodhpur, Rajasthan. He joined the bar council of Rajasthan in 1996 and has fought numerous cases in High Court, Supreme Court, and Session courts.[1]

Solanki gained fame for his five-year court battle against Asaram Bapu, who was accused of sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl in Madhya Pradesh in 2013. The girl's parents sought Solanki's assistance after consulting multiple lawyers. Solanki remained unfazed, and the Jodhpur Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Court found Asaram guilty of rape in April 2018, and he was sentenced to life in prison.[citation needed]

The story inspired the Manoj Bajpayee starrer, Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai which received positive reviews. Film was released in 2023 and actor Manoj Bajpayee played role of P. C. Solanki in the film. He inspired Manoj Bajpayee for 'Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai.[2] A book titled Carvaan has been published by Delhi Press.[3]
