Paroșeni Power Station

The Paroșeni Power Station is a large electricity producer and one of the largest thermal power plants in Romania with one unit and an installed capacity of 150 MW. The powerplant used to have 3 more units of 50 MW each but they were decommissioned.[1]

The power plant is situated in the Hunedoara County (central-western Romania), on the banks of the Jiu River.

Units 1, 2 and 3 were decommissioned in 2009 due to not meeting environmental standards for pollution. [1]
