Paul Holmes (18 February 1968 – May 2024) was an English professional footballer who played as a right back. He made more than 400 appearances in the Football League and Premier League playing for Doncaster Rovers, Torquay United, Birmingham City, Everton and West Bromwich Albion.[2] He is the son of Albert Holmes, who played football for Chesterfield.[3] He died in May 2024, at the age of 56, after being diagnosed with cancer in 2023.[4]
