Payaza is a Nigerian fintech company that provides payment gateway solutions for businesses across Africa.[1][2]. The company also serve to bridge the gap between technology and Tertiary Institutions in Nigeria through its hackathons.[3]
Hackathons
editIn December, 2023, Payaza held hackathon 2.0 aimed at providing payment solutions using AI. The winners of the hackathons include Iya finance who won 5000 dollars, the first Runner Up, NaYa won $3,000 and the 2nd runner up Team Enigma won $1,500 .[4] Payaza also hosted an SME Summit and a Developers Circle event following the launch of Payaza 2.0 in 2023[1]In November 2024, Payaza in partnership with United Nations Industrial Development Organization, ITPO Nigeria and Tech4dev annouced the launch of the third edition scheduled to hold at later date.[5]
