Phillip Childers is an American politician from Kentucky who was a member of the Kentucky House of Representatives from 1999 to 2003. Childers was first elected in 1998 after incumbent representative Donnie Newsome retired to run for Judge/Executive of Knott County.[1] He was defeated for renomination in 2002 by Ancel Smith, who had unsuccessfully challenged him in 2000.[2]
