Phoenix Gold Mine, Idaho Springs, Colorado[6] is a fully operational gold mine where there are tours[1] replete with opportunities to pan for gold.[7] Since 1988, Phoenix Gold Mine has been family owned and operated.[8][5] The Mosch family is "the oldest continuous mining family in the state"[9] of Colorado. Phoenix Gold Mine has been featured on the Discovery Channel[4][5] and the Travel Channel.[10]
