Pokémon Trading Card Game Live (a.k.a. Pokémon TCG Live or TCGL) is a video game based on the Pokémon Trading Card Game. It is the successor to Pokémon TCG Online, which had service ended in 2023.
History
editLive was announced in 2021 and was initially delayed until 2022, with promises of transferring card data from Online to Live once it took effect.[1] In November 2021, it was announced that the game would be delayed until 2022.[2]
The game was further delayed until eventually being released 9 October 2024 for mobile devices[3][4] with desktop versions also available.[5]
Comparisons have been made to Nintendo's other product Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket, being found to have larger sixty-card decks that better emulates playing the original Pokémon Trading Card Game all three digital adaptations were based on.[6]
