The Alpine Rhine Valley (German: Alpenrheintal) is a complex valley-like region in the Alps. It lies on the border between the Swiss cantons of Grisons and St. Gallen, to the west of the Austrian state of Vorarlberg and the Principality of Liechtenstein. The region follows the Alpine Rhine river from the confluence of the Anterior Rhine and the Posterior Rhine as far as its mouth on Lake Constance for a length of 90 kilometres.
