1915 - Vijay Hazare is born in Sangli, Maharashtra. Hazare played in 30 Tests with an average of 47.65. He was also a useful right-arm medium pace bowler.[1]
1949 - In the Ranji Trophy semi-final between Bombay and Maharashtra at Poona, a total 2,376 runs are scored for the loss of 38 wickets - a world record. The innings scores were 651, 407, 714 and 604. Bombay won the match by 354 runs[2]
