On this Day - August 27th
- 1923 - A Farman F.60 Goliath of Air Union crashed at East Malling following an engine failure and a misunderstanding of instructions by passengers which affected the aircraft's centre of gravity. One person was killed of the ten on board.
- 1927 - A Fokker F.VIII of KLM crashed at Sevenoaks following structural failure of the tailplane in flight. One of the ten people on board was killed.
