Nominations
editCurrently, most of the DYK articles featured on the Portal:Tokyo have been featured on the Main Page. This does not mean, however, that in order to get a DYK up on the Portal that it must be featured on the Main Page. If you have newly created or expanded an article, feel free to nominate the DYK below:
First nomination (five DYK from /May subpage):
- ...that Ueno is the station name of the area home to the bulk of Tokyo's major museums?
- ...that Roppongi is one of the major entertainment districts in Japan?
- ...that Tokyo Tower is designed based on the Eiffel Tower?
- ...that the Greater Kanto Earthquake struck Tokyo in 1923, killing more than 70,000 people?
- ...that many vendors at the Tsukuji fish market have complained about the large number of foreign visitors touching the fish?
I have not created nor expanded but I felt these five may be an interest to others. I have created Akasaka Sacas, 109 (department store), and Shibuya Mark City, and AKB48 as one of the articles I expanded, so I could think of one DYK of each topics later on to add. --staka (T) 21:18, 29 August 2008 (UTC)
