• January 1–3

Thirteen tornadoes touched down on New Year's day across the southeastern United States, with an EF2 tornado damaging several structures in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. Overall, at least 19 tornadoes occurred during the outbreak.

• January 8–9

Several tornadoes struck Louisiana, Texas, and Alabama. An EF2 twister struck Peason, Louisiana, damaging 30 residences and injuring several people.

• January 16

Several tornadoes damaged more than 100 mobile homes and injured 4 people in Florida.
