• 1972 - Cyclone Bebe moved through Fiji after passing through what is now Tuvalu, killing 25 people.
• 2015 - Hurricane Patricia (pictured) became the most intense cyclone in the Western Hemisphere with a central pressure of 872 hPa (mbar) and winds of 345 km/h (215 mph) before making landfall on the western coast of Mexico.
