- 1776 - The 1776 Pointe-à-Pitre hurricane made landfall in Pointe-à-Pitre, Guadeloupe killing about 6,000 people.
- 2021 - A rapidly-developing system at the time, Tropical Storm Conson (pictured) made landfall over Eastern Samar, Philippines. Conson killed 22 people in total.
