Looking through the selected images section of the portal, about half of them all have the same caption: "Kolihapeltis sp. (Morocco; Devonian) A trilobite at Melbourne Museum.". I don't know enough about the inner-workings of the portal to fix the problem. Can someone look into this? Thanks --Kevmin (talk) 23:15, 27 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

It looks like you've already started fixing them yourself. It looks like you're doing a good job. Thanks for helping out! Abyssal leviathin (talk) 04:12, 28 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
Still has the problem. I don't know how to change this sort, either- nor do I have the time currently. CFLeon (talk) 20:16, 19 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Too many dinosaurs!

edit

I think that more time should be spent expanding the non-dinosaur articles in the project! Half of all paleo articles don't even cite sources!--76.112.48.72 (talk) 23:37, 2 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Agreed, but non-dinosaurian taxa are much harder to find information for than dinosaurs, and they lie outside the primary field of expertise of the vast majority of our members. Abyssal (talk) 00:16, 3 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Notice from the Portals WikiProject

edit

WikiProject Portals is back!

The project was rebooted and completely overhauled on April 17th, 2018. Its goals are to revitalize the entire portal system, make building and maintaining portals easier, support the ongoing improvement of portals and the editors dedicated to this, and design the portals of the future.

As of May 2nd, 2018, membership is at 60 editors, and growing. You are welcome to join us.

There are design initiatives for revitalizing the portals system as a whole, and for improving each component of portals. So far, 2 new dynamic components have been developed: Template:Transclude lead excerpt and Template:Transclude random excerpt.

Tools are provided for building and maintaining portals, including automated portals that update themselves in various ways.

And, if you are bored and would like something to occupy your mind, we have a wonderful task list.

From your friendly neighborhood Portals WikiProject. Hope to see you there. Sincerely,    — The Transhumanist   07:41, 2 May 2018 (UTC)Reply
