Presidency of Yamandú Orsi

The presidency of Yamandú Orsi is set to begin on March 1, 2025, when Yamandú Orsi will be inaugurated as the 43th president of Uruguay.^[1] Orsi, a member of the Movement of Popular Participation – Broad Front is scheduled to take office following his victory over the National Party nominee Álvaro Delgado in the second round of the 2024 general election.^[2]

Background

Orsi's candidacy for the Broad Front presidential primary for president of Uruguay in the 2024 election election was made official on December 8, 2023, during the party congress.^[3]
